GlycanAge is context, not a diagnosis.
Immune-aging context
GlycanAge helps read immune aging through IgG glycans.
Allerim uses GlycanAge as an immune-context test. It looks at glycan patterns on IgG antibodies to help frame biological age, chronic inflammation, and immune-balance trends over time.
How to think about it
GlycanAge is a trend-and-context tool, not a standalone answer.
GlycanAge is strongest when the goal is to understand immune-aging context and then repeat the test later to see whether the signal changes. It should not be presented as proof that one intervention worked by itself or as a replacement for clinical evaluation.
Primary signal
IgG glycan patterns connected to immune aging and inflammatory balance.
Best use
Longitudinal immune-context tracking and provider-guided wellness interpretation.
Not built for
Diagnosing a specific food reaction, allergy, autoimmune condition, or acute illness.
GlycanAge versus iAge
They are complementary, not interchangeable.
The practical difference is the biological lens. GlycanAge reads immune aging through IgG glycan patterns. iAge reads inflammatory age through a systemic chronic-inflammation model. Each can be valuable alone; the bundle is useful when the patient wants both immune-aging and inflammatory-age context.
Boundaries
What staff should say clearly.
It does not replace allergy, alpha-gal, food, environmental, or standard medical testing when those are the active question.
The result is most useful when it is interpreted alongside symptoms, history, medications, recent illness, and other labs.
